Gotta Love Love Stories

by

I like to think of my life like it is a movie.  I am obviously the main character who is forced to deal with a lot of real life situations while still trying to “find” myself and meet the man of my dreams.  The only difference between my real life and the movies is that I have to actually work 8 or more hours or day just to get food on the table while most women in romantic movie roles seem to pop in and out of work and live a leisure lifestyle.  Oh, and finding prince charming is not as simple as they make it seem.  Still, I love watching love stories in movies.

Many people think that all romantic movies are the same.  And sure, there are quite a few similarities.  The fact is that no two relationships are alike, and therefore no two movies about love and relationships can possibly be the same.  If you are looking for some love stories to get lost in, check out the three romantic movies below.  You are sure to enjoy them all no matter who you are.

Hellraiser 2012

by

This year fans of the successful horror movie franchise “Hellraiser” have something to look forward to, again. Patrick Lussier and Todd Farmer have been busy scripting the latest Hellraiser movie. They recently talked with media outlets, explaining that the goal of their version is not merely to do a remake but also to reboot the entire fandom. Just like home security in Florida isn’t the same as it is in Louisiana. Here are a few quotes from the writers:

Disney’s John Carter

by

The 3D craze continues on as more and more movies are being released as 3D and turned into 3D. For example, next year Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is going to be released in 3D. You should not be worrying about whether that will be the only Disney 3D contribution next year, because that is not the case. The movie John Carter will be out in March of 2012, and it is in impressive 3D. If you are not familiar with the story of John Carter, it is based off of a book by Edgar Rice Burroughs whose imaginative works have served as a basis for many films.

Remember That?

by

Chances are you have seen quite a few movies in your lifetime. Sometimes you may even forget if you have seen a certain film until you hear others talking about it and finally they say something that makes you remember, “Ah I have seen that very movie.” Then you probably go on to think more and more about it until you wish that you could watch it that very instant so you can relive where you were in your life when you last remembered seeing it. That happened to me today. I was just sitting at my desk when a co-worker brought up the movie What About Bob. After thinking about it, I just could not seem to remember having seen it when I heard the words, “baby steps.” It was then I remembered Bill Murray walking to the elevator taking those baby steps. I had seen it! For some reason then we talked about Can’t Hardly Wait and a couple of other movies and then we ended up discussing Mars Attacks! Wow, it has been years since I have seen that movie, but I had to look it up online to remind myself of it.

I Can’t Wait To See That

by

The last month of the year has finally arrived, and while I did enjoy the movies I saw this year I still cannot shake the feeling that I wish there were more movies that really called to me. Country Strong, Just Go With It, Water For Elephants, Bridesmaids, Hangover 2, and Breaking Dawn were all decent movies that I enjoyed, but I needed more from them. Hopefully 2012 will bring the movies that beat out the lackluster feelings and emotions that I got from this year’s films. There is a good chance that they certainly will because I am already waiting for two of next year’s releases with great anticipation. The only reason I am so pumped about these two movies is because I have read, and loved, “The Hunger Games” and “The Lucky One.”

Favorite Feature Films

by

Everyone has favorite movies. I have quite a few, but there are some that will be my favorites forever. Some of them can be new films with special effects and interesting dialogue. Some might be older films that tell a magnificent story without all of the extra “stuff” that might be present in movies today. My favorite movies are very different from one another, but they are movies that I can watch over and over and over again with no problem. Now do not make fun of me or question me, but here are my top three movies.

Movies For Every Mood

by

If you live alone or have ever lived alone, you might be all too familiar with the feelings of being lonely and bored. Some nights those are easily cured, when you can head out to eat or hang with friends. There are other nights though when you just want to stay in, but are not quite sure what to do. Thankfully, that is why movies were invented, right? Movies are there to take away the loneliness and boredom, and they can even give you a good laugh, make you cry, or keep you on the edge of your sit. Whatever you are looking to feel, movies can help you out. Some of my favorite movies make me laugh, others make me cry, and then there are those that make me feel ready for action.

We live in a mysterious world. Everyone’s heard of crop circles, is obsessed with the Mayan calendar, or wonders whether there is really intelligent life on other planets — but few have experienced the Area 51 that is Google Earth. Thankfully there are those dedicated souls out there who think it’s important to expose some of the secrets uncovered by Google Earth imagery and share them with the rest of us.
